Lesley Vollmer Sound bath

I am many things, as I’m sure you are too…

I am a spirit seeker, earnest artist, thoughtful teacher, vibe crafter, sound maker, loud laugher, proud lover, cake eater, big hugger, deep listener, spiritual officiant, perpetual student, run-on sentence writer, healer of self and helper of others.

A city girl by birth, born and raised in Manhattan, my roots grew deep and wide, drinking in all the diverse cultural wonders that the City offered me. I attended the High School of Art & Design and graduated from the University of Vermont.

I’m a survivor of many unfortunate events and people, but I don’t let those define me. I currently craft a life that I love living. I make art in many forms, I teach, I work at a wellness center, I volunteer at non-profits and I bathe in sound on a regular basis.

Crafting a mindfulness practice around sound-based meditation has been THE most positively life-altering activity I’ve ever experienced! That’s why I share this gift with others by facilitating listening experiences and helping others cultivate their awareness. I studied under Sara Auster, the pre-eminent expert in the field of sound therapy and author of “Sound Bath.” I am a certified facilitator in the Auster Sound Method.

The art I craft, comes from my passion to celebrate the wonder I encounter in life. My art and jewelry are featured here in the Gallery. You can also find my works for sale in various locations in New Jersey such as the Museum Shop at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton.
